How working with 1000's of clients taught me, why conventional diet plans fail

13 Years. Hundreds of Transformations. One Big Realisation.

Last month marked 13 years in Nutrition practice. Reading through my clients’ testimonials was one of the most humbling moments of my career — and it sparked a deep, honest reflection on what truly makes health transformation succeed or fail.

What Stopped People from Transforming

For most of the people I worked with, the results were real. But for those who didn’t fully transform, there were consistent patterns — and none of them were about willpower alone.

Change Is Hard Without Support

Environment matters enormously. When home, office, and social settings pull in one direction, even the best plan struggles to take root.

Patience Was Missing

Real transformation takes time. Many were seeking shortcuts — wanting significant change without the sustained effort it requires.

Expectations vs. Reality

A magical plan doesn't exist. Transformation is built on discipline and consistency — not on finding the perfect diet.

No Early Wins, No Motivation

People needed to see tangible results within the first month to stay committed. Without early momentum, the journey stalls.

The Question that changed Everything

These are the questions that led me to rethink everything I was doing:

  • How can a person stick to a healthy plan when kids, family, work, social life, and travel are all running in the background simultaneously?

  • How does one create new habits that stick over habits that have existed for decades?

  • How does one eat well when there are no "diet-approved" options anywhere nearby?

  • Why are diet plans so restrictive? Why do they not stress on building habits at all?

These questions led me to the most important realisation of my career: My real job isn’t to give people a diet plan. It’s to simplify the practice of eating.

Not complicate it. Simplify it. And to build programmes that work for real life – not an idealised version of it.
